Ashley Wilburn is a native of Hagerstown in Maryland. She graduated from North Hagerstown High School where she received her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal career is centered around family law. She has a love for it. She concentrates her practice on divorce cases, alimony disputes, marital property division, child custody battles and child support arrangements. Ashley has served as a mediator appointed by a court since the year and assists parties in helping them settle their disputes without needing to litigate or court involvement. Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She continued her legal education through Western New England University School of Law. When she graduated in 2013, she excelled academically, securing a spot among the top 10 students in her class. During her time in law school, Ashley served as a Note Editor for the esteemed Western New England Law Review which showcased her dedication to legal research and scholarship.

Ashley began her clerkship journey after completing her law degree. She worked for renowned jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She had the honor of being a law clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. In 2014, she returned to Hagerstown, Maryland, to work as a law clerk for the Honorable M. In 2015, Ashley joined the esteemed law firm of Poole & Kane, P.A. as an associate attorney. Her main focus at the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters pertaining to child welfare. Through her dedication, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who were victims of neglect or abuse at the by their parents or caregivers. Her dedication to fighting social injustice extended beyond her legal career when she was a member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She worked tirelessly to raise awareness regarding human trafficking within the tri-state region.

In 2017 she was a founding member at Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and developed her expertise in family law – divorce, custody and child maintenance, as well as guardianships – as well as financial planning and estate planning – wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy – and mediation.
